Coalpool Post Office has moved into to Costcutter, 138 Dartmouth Avenue, Coalpool.

This replaces the branch at 136 Dartmouth Avenue.

Coalpool is one of the new local style branches where post office services are delivered from an open-plan till alongside the retail counter.

It is open seven days a week throughout the store’s opening hours - Monday to Sunday 8am to 9pm.

This increases opening hours by 71 hours a week, including all day Saturday and Sunday and every afternoon. The branch also opens earlier every day and closes later.

Daniel Rooney, post office multiples account executive, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.

"We are confident that this vibrant new-style post office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.

"This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the post office and will secure services for the future.”
