Red letter day for young Saddlers fans during Walsall visit

More than 400 tickets were handed out when Walsall FC players visited a primary school.

Players Luke Leahy and Isaiah Osbourne met Year 3 and 4 pupils at Caldmore Primary Academy and held a question and answer session.

The pair also gave away T-shirts and 100 tickets for each of the four classes.

Vice principal Michelle McPherson said the children were "really excited" and had lots of pictures taken with the players.

She said: "The pupils absolutely loved it, they really enjoyed it and were really excited, we took lots of photos which they really enjoyed.

"They came in and brought T-shirts, the children had lots of photos with them and had a question and answer session.

"It will definitely have influenced some of them to want to be footballers in the future."
