The Walsall Vegan Fair will take place at the Town Hall on February 23 from 10.30am to 4pm.

The fair has attracted more than 2,000 people when it came to Walsall over the last two years.

Kevin White, founder of Midlands Vegan Campaigns, organisers of the event, said: “Veganism is snowballing at a very fast rate in the UK, with new stats showing that around 3.5 million people, seven per cent of the population, now follow a vegan lifestyle.

"For many, vegan events are the best starting point if you’re vegan curious or an aspiring vegan. There are now hundreds of vegan fairs and festivals springing up across the country, so anyone interested will find them more accessible than ever before. Every town needs an annual vegan fair, including Walsall.

“At the Walsall Vegan Fair there will be 60 stalls which will showcase a vast array of vegan food and products including delicious cakes, cheese, chocolate, pies, ice cream, recipe books and a variety of delicious hot meals. Many stalls will offer free samples of their products. Also, non-food stalls selling a wide range of products free of animal ingredients, not tested on animals and environmentally friendly, including cosmetics, toiletries, clothing, jewellery etc.

“The growth of veganism in the past two years has been phenomenal. Curious non-vegans are increasingly flocking to vegan events to taste all the delights of vegan cuisine and be inspired by all the lifestyles benefits, for animals, personal health and nutrition, and the environment. Veganism has passed a tipping point and is unstoppable now.”

Entry to the Walsall Vegan Fair is free and all are welcome.
