Pedestrian injured after being hit by car in Stafford

A pedestrian suffered potentially serious injuries after being hit by a car in Stafford.

The crash happened, in Chell Road, at about 9.30pm on Saturday.

The pedestrian, a man, was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for further assessment.

Jamie Arrowsmith, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "

An off duty paramedic also stopped to offer assistance.

"We treated one patient, a man, who was the pedestrian.

"He was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further assessment."

Tom Bushell, spokesman for Staffordshire Police, said: "We were called to Chell Road in Stafford at around 9.30pm on January 25 to reports of a road traffic collision between a pedestrian and a car.

"A 43-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening or changing injuries."
