Gregory Burgher, who is managing director of GDB Recovery, had his company's new Fiat Ducato stolen from outside his home in the early hours of Thursday.

Gregory has only had the van, which is specially built, for four months.

It was stolen from his home in Cresswell Grove at around 12.40am on Thursday. The 2019 truck has his company's stickers on and a personalised number plate of GO02 GDB.

The stolen vehicle has been reported to Staffordshire Police.

Mr Burgher said: "CCTV showed two cars driving past my house multiple times, they then gained access through the locked drivers door. Within three minutes they drove off.

"It is worth £35,000 and I have only had it four months. The police told me it was last seen in the Cannock area.

"It is a work van, a recovery truck. We will be left out of pocket – we will suffer as a business as a result."

Mr Burgher's company was featured in the Express & Star recently for rescuing people from a flooded hotspot in Stafford earlier this month.

Anyone who sees the van, should call police on 101.
