Debbie Howe, landlady at The Oxleathers pub in Stafford, had the idea for a small vigil but said she was ‘emotional and shocked’ at how many people came along.

Chief Fire Officer Becci Bryant also attended earlier this week to pay her respects and lay flowers.

Police Chief Inspector Gemma Ward said: “There has been a huge outpouring of support.People have expressed their shock and grief, but taken the time to ask about the welfare of the family and those dealing with the incident, which is much appreciated.”
