The 45th meeting of the Get Together was held at Church Hill Victoria Working Men's Club, in Hednesford, Cannock.

A total of 99 colleagues, who worked at three collieries around Cannock area, turned out for the event.

The roles of those attending included electricians, mechanics and persons from other departments.

They are all from the collieries of West Cannock, which closed in December 1982, Lea Hall in December 1990, and Littleton in 1993.

All the guests enjoyed a drink, food and board games.

There was also £225 raised at the event for CHAPS - Chase Arts for Public Space - which is raising money for a miner's monument at Staffordshire's National Arboretum.

Organiser Harry Wilkes thanked mining colleagues for their continued support which has allowed the event to continue.
