Two men were taken to hospital following the crash which also involved a silver Nissan on Sunday afternoon.

The Range Rover slammed into the side of the Forge Farm farmhouse which has been boarded up for several years.

It happened in Forge Lane which has recently saw its speed limit cut from 60mph to 30mph.

The farm, opposite the popular visitor attraction Forge Mill Farm, had been up for sale back in 2015 with a £450,000 price tag.

Crews from West Bromwich and Walsall fire station attended the crash at around 3pm.

A West Midlands Fire Service spokesman said: “Two males were injured and taken to hospital, but they had non life-threatening injuries.”

The technical rescue team attended to help with inspections of the farm house to check on whether it was structurally safe.

The Nissan was left with significant damage at the side of the road.

The speed limit on the road, which runs past Sandwell Valley Crematorium, was reduced earlier this year from 60mph to 30mph.

A spokesperson for the West Midlands Ambulance Service: “We treated three patients. One suffered minor injuries and was discharged at the scene.

"Two patients, both men, received treatment by ambulance staff before being taken to hospital for further treatment.”

The speed reduction, made as part of plans for a £20m flood defence scheme in the area, was welcomed in the hope it will slow down drivers on the road – with three people having died in accidents and more injured over the space of a few years.
