Motorcyclist killed in West Bromwich crash named as Richard Fisher

A motorcyclist who died after hitting a lamppost in West Bromwich has been named as Richard Fisher.

His family have paid tribute to him as a "loving son, father, nephew and great friend".

The 37-year-old, from Bilston, suffered serious injuries in the crash in Holloway Bank, Hill Top, at around 11.20pm last Saturday.

He was taken to hospital, but died on Sunday morning.

In a statement, his family said: "Richard was a loving son, father, nephew and great friend who was always smiling.

"He will be very sadly missed."

Sergeant Alan Hands, from West Midlands Police's Collision Investigation Unit, said: "We continue to support Richard's family at this distressing time and are working hard to establish the circumstances around what happened.

"I would urge anyone who may have information to contact us."
