Palminder Singh, from Wolverhampton, was driving a black VW Golf when it was involved in a collision with a Jeep Cherokee on the A41 Black Country New Road last Friday.

The 37-year-old, as well as a 21-year-old man in the Jeep named locally as Kai Bristow, were pronounced dead at the scene.

A further three people sustained serious injuries and remain in hospital.

Today, Palminder’s family have released a tribute to a “kind-hearted" man:

"On the 6 December 2019 our lives changed forever. Palminder Singh, 37, was a kind-hearted, selfless individual. He was a son, brother and a friend to many.

"He was driving a black VW Golf when his life was tragically taken in a head-on collision. His loss has left our family broken.

"We urge anyone who may have any information from that night, to assist the police with their investigation."

Sergeant Alan Hands from the serious collision investigation unit, said: "We’re are continuing to appeal to anyone that can assist our investigation to come forward.

"I’d ask that anyone who has information or witnessed what happened, in particular any motorists who were in the area and have dashcam footage to come forward and contact the investigation team."

Friends of 21-year-old Kai Bristow – who had just become a father to a baby boy – have launched an online fundraiser to help his family which has gathered £2,240 so far.
