Four men arrested after Codsall and Walsall car thefts

Four men including one from Wednesbury have been arrested following a spate of car thefts in Codsall and Walsall.

Staffordshire Police made the arrests in relation to a number of thefts which took place in the areas of Walsall, Codsall and Tamworth over the last month.

A 21-year-old man, from Birmingham, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery and an 18-year-old man from Wednesbury has been arrested on suspicion of burglary. They remain in police custody.

While a 43-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of burglary and a 29-year-old man from Coventry was also arrested on suspicion of burglary. Both have been released under investigation.

Detective Inspector Adrian Webb said: "We have a dedicated team investigating stolen cars across the region but we are continuing to ask vehicle owners to remain vigilant and to report anything suspicious to the police."
