Woman killed after being hit by bus in Bearwood

Police today appealed for witnesses to come forward to help with their investigation.

The woman, aged 93, was in Poplar Road at around 5pm yesterday when she was struck.

She suffered severe injuries before being taken to hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Police say she is not being identified at this stage.

The family of the woman have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
