All three emergency services were called out at around 8pm on Monday after a car crashed into a bus at the junction between Rowley Village and Bell End in Rowley Regis.

A picture of the scene shows the vehicle, a red Honda Civic, in the middle of the road between two lanes with a front wheel missing.

The car’s bumper is also badly damaged.

Emergency services said nobody at the scene was injured, but the condition of the occupants of the car is unknown.

A fire crew attended after receiving reports of petrol leaking from the car.

A tweet from Oldbury Fire Station read: “An extremely lucky escape for lots of people at this #RTC, none more so than the man and woman who fled from this car after colliding with the bus.”

A statement from West Midlands Police read: “It was a non-stop collision between a car and bus at around 8.15pm. It doesn’t appear that anyone was injured.”

Anyone with any information is urged to contact police on 101.
