Woman injured after two-car crash near Oldbury school

A woman has been taken to hospital after two cars crashed near a school in Oldbury.

Eight firefighters, along with ambulances and police, were sent to Moat Road near Q3 Academy Langley after the collision.

Crews were sent from Smethwick and Oldbury fire stations, with the first engine arriving within four minutes at around 8.40am today.

The woman, in her 40s, was helped out of the car by paramedics and sent to Sandwell General Hospital for further treatment, a spokesman for the fire service said.

Fire crews made the scene safe before leaving at around 9.30am.
