Woman still in hospital two months after horror Wolverhampton Road crash

A woman is still in hospital two months after a horror crash in the Black Country left her with serious injuries.

The 20-year-old, who was driving a Kia, was involved in a crash with an Audi on Wolverhampton Road in Oldbury.

The Audi overturned and ended up on a grass verge, while the Kia was left crumpled and surrounded by debris in the aftermath.

Two women were trapped in the vehicles after the horror smash

An 18-month-old girl was rescued from the Kia as emergency services rushed to the scene on May 8.

Police believe three cars were involved in the crash, with the third vehicle found by officers a short time later.

The woman, who was driving the Kia, is still being treated for her injuries in hospital.

Investigating officers assess the scene in Wolverhampton Road after the crash

A 31-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving after the crash, but he was released pending further enquiries.

And no further arrests have been made, police confirmed.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "Enquiries on-going into the Wolverhampton Road collision on May 8."
