Elderly woman who died after being hit by Iceland delivery van in Wordsley is named

The family of an 88-year-old woman who died after being hit by an Iceland delivery van in Wordsley have said they are "utterly devastated".

Phyllis May Fielding died after being hit by an Iceland delivery van on September 8 outside a Sainsbury's Local supermarket on Lawnswood Road.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics but later died in hospital.

The driver stopped at the scene and has been assisting the police with their investigations.

Her family said: “We are utterly devastated to have lost our loving mom, nan and great-nan in such tragic circumstances. We, as a family, ask for privacy and time to grieve at this very difficult time.”
