These are the heartbreaking words of the partner of a missing Stourbridge man more than a fortnight after his disappearance.

Matthew Gill, 43, also known as Liggy, was last seen leaving his home at 9am on October 6.

In an emotional plea for him to come home partner Annette Woodhouse described Matthew as ‘supportive, kind, considerate and loving’.

She said: “It is very hard – the not knowing has to be the hardest.

“To think he is out there somewhere alone, when all we both ever wanted was to be at home together.

“The amount of support from all the searchers has been overwhelming with so many people giving up their time, but we need to continue over the weekend to cover as much of the area as possible.”

Annette said the #findliggy Facebook page has been a helpful tool to drive searches, but has yet to bring up any clues about his whereabouts.

She said her message to him was: “Matty please just let us know you are alright, me and cat Baz are here waiting for you. Please please come home.”

Today’s fresh appeal comes as the search has been widened to Kidderminster, with new missing person posters being issued. And in a touching video appeal, cousin Louise Flanagan urged more people to volunteers and help in the search for missing Stourbridge man Matthew Gill.

Family updated the posters of Matthew in the hope it will lead to his safe return home.

The image shows the 43-year-old in a blue Superdry t-shirt which he is believed to have been wearing on the day of his disappearance.

Cousin Louise Flanagan, 40, from Stourbridge, said: “Everything was getting quite big, everybody’s got individual roles now.

“The plan going forward is we updated the posters.

“Annette has been going through his clothes and that t-shirt is missing.

“We’re going to widen the search now towards Kidderminster.

“The base is still remaining at the Fox pub and every day now towards the end of the day all the details of the next day will be posted on the Facebook page.

“We have a tight knit team now there’s around 10 to 15 of us.”

Teams were dispersed last week to search through the Million wood area of Kinver.

Family and close friends have searched through the woodland – an area Mr Gill used to go cycling on his mountain bike.

Colleagues from B&Q in Kidderminster, where Mr Gill works as part of the management team, had also been helping with the appeal and distributing posters nationwide.

Matthew is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, medium build, clean shaven with short cropped hair.

It’s possible he was wearing a white baseball cap, tracksuit bottoms and grey slip on trainers.

Anybody with information is urged to contact West Midlands Police Locate team on 101, extension 872 3053.
