The Beacon Hotel in the Sedgley area of Dudley has applied for permission to demolish a conservatory extension, built sometime around 1990, and replace it with a new, larger one.

The conservatory at the Beacon Hotel is set to be demolished

The Grade II listed pub in Bilston Street dates back to the 1850s, and is a regular winner of Campaign for Real Ale Awards. In 2011 was judged to be one of the four best pubs in the country.

The conservatory built to provide a covered walkway to the toilets, which had previously been located outdoors.
