Dudley Council is in talks with All Saints' Church and the Royal British Legion about the monument.

The memorial has been initially earmarked to built on council-owned land, which is a zig-zag walkway up to the church.

The idea was first mooted by Sedgley ward councillors Michael Evans and Tina Westwood.
