Woman dies seven days after being hit by car in Netherton

A woman has died seven days after she was hit by a car in Netherton.

West Midlands Police is investigating the collision which took place, in Baptist End Road, shortly after 3pm on March 19.

The woman, aged 43, was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Police confirmed she died seven days later, on March 26, of her injuries.

The driver of the car, a Peugeot 307, stopped at the scene and is helping police with their investigation.

A police spokesman said: "Officers continue to investigate a collision between a pedestrian and a car on Baptist End Road, Netherton.

"The pedestrian, a 43-year-woman, was taken to hospital in a critical condition. She sadly passed away on 26 March as a result of her injuries.

"The driver of a silver Peugeot 307 stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries."
