Biker seriously injured in Pensnett crash

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash with a car in Pensnett.

Paramedics were called to Second Avenue on Pensnett Trading Estate at 7.17am today to a crash involving a car and a motorcycle.

The rider, a man, was given trauma care on the scene before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital with serious injuries, and a woman from the car was taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.

Claire Brown, spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We were called at 7.17am to Second Avenue on Pensnett Trading Estate to reports of a road traffic collision between a car and a motorcycle.

"Two ambulances and a critical care car from Midlands Air Ambulance attended.

"We've treated the motorcyclist, a man who has suffered a serious injury, he was given trauma care on the scene before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further treatment.

"We also conveyed a woman from the car to the same hospital with minor injuries."

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We are investigating a collision between a motorbike and a car on Pensnett Trading Estate in Kingswinford just before 7.30am this morning .

"A man has been taken to hospital with an injury to his leg.
