Stuart Roe was stabbed to death in Halesowen on December 30.

More than £5,000 has been raised towards his funeral costs and tributes continue to flood in for the barber described as "lovable, kind, generous friendly and caring".

Police closed off several roads in the aftermath of the murder

His family now hope Wolves fans will hold a minute's applause during the 34th minute of the match against Leicester at Molineux on Saturday.

Mr Roe, who was 34, was a former season ticket holder and was described as an 'avid' Wolves supporter.

Family friend Andrew Templeton said on Facebook: "His dad, Jasper, has asked me to join him and fellow Wolves fans at the Leicester game in a minute's applause in the 34th minute to celebrate this young lad's life."

Mr Templeton told the Express & Star: "We're just going to do a tribute to him after the tragedy that happened.

"We're absolutely devastated, everybody is just devastated. I remember him being born. He was a great kid."

Martyn Turley, aged 57 and from Tipton, has been charged with Mr Roe's murder and is due to stand trial next month but police are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
