The Go Fund Me Page was launched after the 34-year-old Mr Roe was found with fatal stab wounds in Springfield Drive, in Halesowen, in the early hours of December 30.

The page hopes to raise £7,000 towards the funeral costs of Quarry Bank barber Mr Roe. In just over a week, the total now stands at £4,835.

The page states: “Stuart Roe was an avid Wolves fan and was a season ticket holder with his dad as a young child. He played for a darts team at the Church Tavern in Quarry Bank.

"He was a fantastic barber and had his own shop called Mr Trim on Quarry Bank High Street. Stuart was a loveable, kind, generous, friendly, caring, sociable person and a friend to many.

“This is a tragic loss to everyone who knew and loved him. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandchild and cousin.”

Martyn Turley, 57, from Tipton, has been charged with Mr Roe’s murder, as well as possessing an offensive weapon in public. He has been remanded in custody and will stand trial at Birmingham Crown Court in February.
