Two-car crash near Merry Hill

Emergency services were called to a two-car crash near Merry Hill.

Paramedics checked two patients over after the crash just before 5pm yesterday in Pedmore Road.

Jamie Arrowsmith, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "At 4.57pm we were called to reports of a two-car road traffic collision, one of which had collided with a fence as well.

"We sent one ambulance to the scene, there was two patients from the cars but they were not injured and we discharged them at the scene."

Firefighters were also sent to the scene and made the vehicles safe.

Brierley Hill Fire tweeted saying: "Crews in attendance at RTC, Pedmore road, near Merry Hill. Avoid area if possible due to heavy congestion."
