Dudley cleaning company offers free service for flooding victims

A kind-hearted man who runs two businesses is offering a free cleaning service to those affected by the flooding.

Matthew Cook, from Dudley, said after seeing what happened to his friend first hand he wanted to help.

Mr Cook runs Black Country Cleaners and MJ Home Maintenance from his base in Marmion Grove.

The 25-year-old has run the maintenance firm since 2017 but only launched the cleaning service a few weeks ago.

He said: "We are offering a free cleaning service to anyone affected by the flooding as far as the Bewdley area.

"I have got two friends who live there and have been hit by the floods.

"They could also get worse too as the river levels continue to rise, so I wanted to get this information out there as quickly as possible.

"As I run a company that cleans houses I thought, 'Why can't I offer this service for free to those who really need it?'.

"Some people have shared the information on social media but I want more people to know about it."
