Serious crash shuts major Birmingham route
A driver has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a car smashed into a bus stop in Birmingham today.
It happened on the southbound carriageway of Bristol Road where it meets Weoley Park Road.
Road closures were in place and police urged drivers to avoid the area.
Police said the driver had been arrested and taken into custody.
