Dudley Council have asked those people in self-isolation to take extra care with the waste they put out for bin collection.

Bin collections are continuing as normal, but council chiefs have asked for greater caution when disposing of waste.

For those self-isolating due to Covid-19 symptoms, the council has advised that personal waste such as used tissues and disposable cleaning cloth should be stored securely within disposable rubbish bags.

Additionally, these should then be placed in a second bag, tied securely and kept separate from other waste, then kept separate from other waste for at least 72 hours.

Dudley Council has warned that recycling services may be disrupted during the current crisis, but said that work is being carried out to resume normal services as quickly as possible.
