St Dominic’s Grammar School in Brewood has been recognised in newspaper's 2018 guide.

St Dominic’s relaunched as a grammar school in September and was rated by the Department of Education last year as number one in the county for its GCSE and EBacc performances.

Head of school Peter McNabb said: “These are exciting times for St Dominic’s and being ranked 25th in the country in The Sunday Times table reinforces our position among the elite schools nationally.

“The 2018 edition of The Sunday Times Schools Guide is based on examination success and ranks the top 2,000 primary and secondary schools in both the independent and state sectors.

“To receive such a high ranking is an incredible achievement and we are immensely proud of of this national status. It emphasises the tremendous work ethic of staff and pupils in our continued success.

“It is a highly regarded league table and a comprehensive aid to seeing how schools are performing across the country.”

St Dominic’s is a fee-paying school with almost 200 pupils and caters for girls from age three to 18.
