Academy results the ‘best ever’

100 per cent of students passed their courses across all subjects offered at both A-level and vocational qualifications and 29 per cent of all grades awarded at A-level were A*/B with 36 per cent in Applied General qualifications at Distinction*/Distinction. In Technical qualifications 100 per cent of grades were at Distinction*

Students also gained the top grades in a range of subjects including maths, English, physics, chemistry, biology, psychology and sociology and 75 per cent of all grades in A-level maths were at B or above.

Mr Jones, the Principal at the Academy, said: “The Academy has worked extremely hard over the past two years to improve provision and outcomes for students.

“These results are a real reflection of how far we have come.

“I am extremely proud of the students for all the hard work they put in to gaining these excellent results. I would also like to thank all our staff for the support they have given our students.”

Wednesfield High sixth form still has a very limited number of places for September 2019 start.
