Some pupils still not back at primary school two weeks after flood
Half of the pupils at a school which was forced to close after suffering flood damage are still not being taught on site more than two weeks later.
Some pupils were allowed back at St Peter's Catholic Primary School in Bloxwich after a leaking toilet pipe caused damage earlier this month.
But children in years 4 and 6 are being taught at Stan Ball Community Centre, while Year 5 pupils are at St Thomas More School.
Pupils in reception and years 1, 2 and 3 returned to the school last week.
The school's hall was damaged so badly that the headteacher said it will not be fixed until after Easter - so the pupils cannot do PE inside, have school assemblies or eat lunch in the hall.
Headteacher Debbie Beirne said: "We hope to have everyone back in on Monday as the floors are still drying.
"Our school hall will be out of action until after Easter, it's going to take two weeks.
"We can't have assemblies, PE is outdoors, the children have to eat lunch in their classrooms."
Parents and the local community have clubbed together and helped to raise more than £2,500 to help the school.
Mrs Beirne added: "The money raised is absolutely amazing, I'm overwhelmed by it.
"It will all go to the children, they have been amazing I'm so proud of them."
