Plans have been approved by Walsall Council for the extension to the school of health building on Gorway Road.

In the application it says: "The University of Wolverhampton’s estate design will transform the Sister Dora (WP) Building from pseudo-care facilities to light, spacious and connected interprofessional spaces.

"The current skills estate has not had any significant investment since it opened to matriculating students in 2004 and is now not fit for purpose.

"As such, the rooms are pseudo-wards, with low occupancy, static and outdated for contemporary practice modelling.

"This proposal will transform the current skills and simulation estate in the Sister Dora building into a modern, dynamic and interprofessional facility that meets the needs of Healthcare students into the future."
