Shoplifter took supermarket stock worth £3,000 to find class A drug habit

A drug addict stole stock worth more than £3,000 from supermarkets to fund his class A habit.

Tesco in Kidderminster was targeted repeatedly by Florian Radoi

Florian Radoi was handed a suspended prison sentence when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Wednesday after previously indicating guilty pleas to 10 charges of shoplifting.

The 35-year-old, of no fixed abode, targeted Tesco, Sainsbury's and Asda in Kidderminster between January 2023 and early January of this year. He took:

  • January 28, 2023: Forrero Rocher chocolate, chewing gum and coffee worth £336.75 from Tesco

  • November 9: Alcohol worth £365 from Tesco

  • November 16: Alcohol worth £357 from Tesco

  • November 17: Alcohol worth £454.20 from Tesco

  • November 18: Alcohol worth £198 from Tesco

  • November 22: Various stock worth £400 from Tesco

  • December 8: Beauty products worth £400 from Tesco

  • December 9: Chocolate worth £364 from Tesco

  • December 10: Lynx products worth £141.94 from Asda

  • January 2, 2024: Various stock worth £384.10 from Sainsbury's
