Pawanveer Singh, aged 23 months, and his brother Sanjay, aged 10, were travelling in the family's BMW when it was hit by an Audi travelling at high speeds on the A4123 Birmingham New Road in March 2019.

Five men have gone on trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court facing a range of charges over the crash, which happened around 8.45pm on March 14, 2019. The Audi was allegedly racing at high speeds with a Bentley car driven by Hamza Shahid.

Mohammed Sullaiman Khan, of Pershore Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, was the driver of the Audi A2 which hit the car in which the two boys were being driven home to Sedgley by their mother Arathi Nehar, as she attempted to turn into Lawnswood Avenue, Parkfield. She suffered significant spinal injuries. Both boys were killed instantly.

Khan has already admitted causing death by dangerous driving but denies a charge of perverting the course of justice.
