Man pleads not guilty to attempted murder of stabbing victim in Oldbury

A man has pleaded not guilty to attempting to murder a 32-year-old man found with stab wounds in the Black Country.

Colin Phipps, 38, appeared before a judge at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Monday charged with the attempted murder of Rommell Holding, who died in hospital on September 25.

The case relates to an alleged incident on September 11 when Mr Holding was found at a property, in Newbury Lane, in Oldbury, with chest injuries.

Phipps, of Minister Close, Rowley Regis, has denied the allegations. He was remanded in custody until March for a directions hearing.
