Arrest after boy, 15, left fighting for his life in Walsall attack

A 15-year-old boy has been left fighting for his life after he was struck on the head in an attack in Walsall.

Another 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after the teenage victim was struck to the head with an unknown object.

The attack happened in Lichfield Road, Willenhall, near to the junction of Forest Gate, at around 9.20pm on Friday night.

He was knocked unconscious and another person who was with him raised the alarm.

The teenager was rushed to hospital with a fracture to his skull and bleeding on the brain. He remains in a critical condition.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody this afternoon.
