Two men arrested as drugs and weapons seized in Wolverhampton police raids

Two men were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after police carried out warrants in Wolverhampton.

Officers from West Midlands Police carried out warrants at two addresses in the Heath Town area of the city at around 11am yesterday.

During the warrants, police say class A and B drugs were recovered, as well as weapons seized from both addresses.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of drugs possession. One of the men, aged 25, was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.

A spokesman from West Midlands Police said: "We arrested two men after executing drugs warrants at two addresses in the Heath Town area of Wolverhampton at about 11am on Friday.

"A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drugs possession with intent to supply and possession of an offensive weapon.

"A 50-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drugs possession with intent to supply."

The men were later released pending further investigation.
