Khuzaimah Douglas, aged 19, and Waseem Ramzan, 36, died following an altercation in Pensnett Road, Brierley Hill, on February 20.

Saghawat Ramzan, 46, of Pensnett Road, is accused of shooting them with a crossbow and has been charged with two counts of murder.

He appeared during a short hearing at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Wearing a grey t-shirt, Ramzan spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.

He was due to appear at the city's crown court on Wednesday.

Another man, aged 23, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is still being questioned by detectives.

Investigators initially believed the two men had been killed as a result of stab wounds – but it has now been established their fatal injuries were caused by a crossbow.

Tributes were paid to young kickboxer Mr Douglas, who was a member of the USKA Fight Factory gym in Tyseley, following his death.
