Burntwood man charged over attack in pub which left man with 'serious facial injuries'

A man from Burntwood has been charged after an assault at a pub left a man with "serious face injuries".

A 31-year-old man was injured during an incident at The Crown, on High Street in Chasetown, early on Friday morning.

He was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital before being discharged.

Brian Patrick Harmon, of Lawnswood Avenue in Burntwood, has been charged with wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

The 55-year-old appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today and has been bailed until his next court appearance.
