CCTV appeal after man mugged on Dudley footbridge

Police are continuing to search for two men after a man was mugged in broad daylight in Dudley town centre.

A man had his bank card and "a large quantity" of cash stolen during the attack which happened on the footbridge over Duncan Edwards Way.

Two men approached the victim on the bridge between Trindle Road and Claughton Road, shortly after 10am, on Monday, December 16.

A spokesman from West Midlands Police previously said one of the muggers restrained the man while the other took the money and card before both fled along Watsons Green Road in the Kates Hill direction.

West Midlands Police is now re-appealing for information in relation to the mugging, with CCTV images of two men they want to speak to.

A spokesman for the force said: "Do you know these two men?

"We want to talk to them after a man had money stolen in Duncan Edwards Way, Dudley, at about 10am on Monday 16 December, shortly after withdrawing it from a cash machine."

Anyone with information is asked to call West Midlands Police on 101, quoting crime number 20DY/296565G/19.
