Sainsbury's windows smashed in as burglars steal tobacco

Burglars stole tobacco from a Black Country shop after smashing their way in through windows.

Sainsbury’s Local store, on Lawnswood Road, Wordsley, was burgled just after 1am on Sunday.

West Midlands Police has launched an investigation in a bid to catch the culprits.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Police are investigating a burglary at the Sainsbury’s Local store on Lawnswood Road in Wordsley just after 1am yesterday.

"A quantity of tobacco products were stolen after the front window was smashed to gain entry.

"Enquiries continue and anyone with information is asked to contact us via Live Chat at www.west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, or call 101 anytime.
