The man, who has been named as Philip Ashley, was discovered at a terraced house in Tipton, after police were called to Beehive Walk at around 11.50pm on Wednesday.

A post-mortem has proved inconclusive.

Detectives initially treated his death as suspicious but now West Midlands Police say his death is being treated as unexplained.

Part of Beehive Walk was cordoned off as police launched an investigation last week.

Forensic officers were on the scene trying to piece together the events which led to Mr Ashley's death.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
