Stafford heroin and crack dealer jailed for seven years

A Class A drug dealer who hid heroin and cocaine in a shed in Stafford has been jailed for seven-and-a-half years.

Aiden Vella, 21 and of Young Avenue, Stafford, pleaded guilty to multiple counts of possessing crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply.

Officers attended a block of flats on Hawksmoor Road on December 16 and found a shed with a bag containing wraps of crack cocaine and heroin.

The street value of the drugs was £1,160.

Vella was arrested as he came down stairs at the flat, Stafford Crown Court heard.

When he was searched officers found a set of keys to the flat

Five months later, Vella was seen supplying drugs in Holmcroft Road, Stafford, on May 15.

Officers found two large wraps of heroin and crack cocaine hidden in his waistband.

In an earlier offence on June 13, 2018, officers attended an address in New Street, Stafford, and seized crack cocaine and heroin from Vella.

Sgt Tom Fotherby, of Stafford's neighbourhood policing team, said: "We’re working hard to tackle those who are dealing drugs in Stafford and will continue to bring them before the courts."
