Travellers have parked up on land owned by HMP Featherstone.

Staffordshire Police said the group has been on the land since Friday and officers are working with the prison to resolve the situation.

The tweet says: "Staffordshire Police are aware of a travelling community who have been parked on land at HMP Featherstone since Friday.

"We are working closely with the prison, who are the land owners and our partners in the Community Safety Team to resolve the issue."
