Police called for the review on the Dog and Partridge in Bilston after a woman was attacked in the early hours of Sunday. There were also reports of gunfire.

Armed police were called to Broad Street at around 12.30am. A woman in her 30s was found with injuries, which police said were “not life-threatening”. A 36-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of wounding.

An expedited licence review is due to take place at 10am tomorrow. Wolverhampton Council said it had been requested by police "on the grounds of serious crime and disorder". A full review is then expected to follow at a later date.
