Men steal chain from teenager at Stourbridge park

A teenager was robbed by two men in a popular Black Country park.

A group of teenagers were in Mary Stevens Park, off Worcester Street in Stourbridge, at around 6.30pm on Wednesday.

A social media post after the incident alleged that one of the men, wearing a balaclava, pulled out a knife before stealing a chain from the teenager.

The post then went on to warn users of the park to be aware.

West Midlands Police is now investigating the incident.

A spokesman for the force said: "Police are investigating the theft of a chain from Mary Stevens Park in Worcester Street, Stourbridge just before 6.30pm on Wednesday, July 10.

"A group of teenagers were approached by two men who forcibly demanded the chain which was handed over by a 16-year-old boy.

"Enquiries continue and anyone with information is asked to contact us."
