WATCH: Police appeal after woman pushed to ground in street robbery

A woman was thrown to the ground and robbed in a Wolverhampton street.

The 58-year-old was attacked by two people on Trysull Road in the Merry Hill area on Saturday July 6 at around 11.30pm.

She was thrown to the floor as the thieves made off with her mobile phone and handbag.

The attackers ran off towards Oxbarn Avenue, leaving the victim injured on the floor.

Now, officers investigating the attack have released CCTV footage of the suspects walking along the road.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Although the footage is unclear, a car is seen driving past.

"We’re appealing to this driver and any other drivers who were in the area at the time to check their dashcam footage as they may have vital footage.

"Similarly, if you were in the area and saw something or have any other information about the investigation, contact us.
