Three men were arrested and charged with a number of offences, including kidnap, after the incident on June 26.
At around 5pm a silver Volvo V70 and a black Hyundai Tucson left the town centre Travelodge at speed.
They travelled along Lichfield Road, Wolverhampton Road, Hesketh Road and Burton Bank Lane where the Hyundai crashed into a garden wall.
Police are urging people with dash cam footage of the incident to come forward.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Dashcam or mobile phone footage of the vehicles should be emailed to DC Ken Cox on kenneth.cox@staffordshire.pnn.police.uk quoting incident number 597 of June 26."
