Woman charged with drink driving after car hits lamppost

A woman has been charged with drink driving after a car hit a lamppost in the Black Country.

The car left the road and ended up down an embankment in the crash which happened on around 7pm on Monday on Stamford Road in Brierley Hill.

Claire Jordan, aged 45 of Acres Road, Brierley Hill, has been charged with failing to provide a specimen, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.

She has been bailed to appear at Walsall Magistrates' Court on July 26.

Police, paramedics and around 10 firefighters were called to the scene after the crash.
