Man stabbed in chest and hand in Walsall

A man was stabbed in the chest and hand during an attack in Walsall.

Police were called to the scene in Lowe Avenue, Darlaston, at about 6.40pm on Thursday and a man in his 20s was taken to hospital.

His injures are not believed to be serious.

Officers said no one has yet been arrested and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "Police were called to reports of a stabbing at an address in Lowe Avenue, Darlaston, at 6.40pm on Thursday June 20.

"A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with injuries to his chest and hand which are not serious.

"Enquiries are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact police via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, or call 101 anytime. Please quote crime reference number 20WS/146255P/19."
