Law, from Hepworth Close, Southampton, and Taylor pleaded not guilty to non-domestic burglary at the SnoZone ski slopes in Milton Keynes on the night of November 6-7, 2017.

They are alleged to have stolen a "hot beverage of a value unknown."

Prosecutor Louise McCullough said someone had gone into the SnoZone while the building was open.

They had hidden and, once it was shut, opened a fire exit to allow in the defendants.

Once inside they are alleged to have stolen a hot drink.

The defendants are to claim they brought their own coffee and soya milk to drink.

Judge Francis Sheriden said at court today: "This case should resolve itself. What a waste of taxpayers' money this is. I would encourage the parties to discuss the case."

The trial has been placed in a warned list beginning June 10.
